The location seemed central to many of our destination spots and we relied on Uber for speed, documentation, and safety. We shipped a parcel to lighten our load at the nearby Postal Service, walked a block to the main road to the Patieserie and enjoyed the most fabulous baguette sandwiches, macaroons, and hot drinks for walking around. It’s a mere 20 minute walk to the historic Sacre-Couer Basilica, and is away from the tourist hotspots to see the real life and shops of Paris. From laundry to nails to cafes and dining: it is all here. It was soundproofed when windows were closed (a plus as the second room was next to a rambunctious schoolhouse playground), wonderful AC, clean sheets, immaculate rooms (we stayed in two different rooms as one was an impulsive add on). The elevator was a major bonus although steps are required no matter what floor: see the hotel photos. We enjoyed everything about this but what I appreciated the most was the graciousness and hospitality of the staff. They made us feel so welcome and un-rushed as a true vacation should be. I will absolutely be booking again when I return in a few weeks. This room was the perfect size for my 10 year old and myself but a family may be more cramped. One room has slightly less floor space but one must understand ALL rooms in Paris are cozy. I recommend this property as a well seasoned traveler. They offer a paid breakfast which we decided not to utilize but we did enjoy wonderful coffee, hot milk, and hot chocolate before heading out for a 6 mile walkabout. Another thing I may add: this hotel was quieter than most even with people walking upstairs and the lift nearby. If you are a light sleeper I highly recommend using a tiny portable sound machine that will cover any sounds and create a nice ambiance for you.

The hotel is situated in a quiet street with only the occasional traffic noises. The bus stop to the Gare de l'Est is only one block away and the metro station which connects to Saint Lazare, the champs elysées and Gare Montparnasse (meaning great connections to all other metro lines of Paris as well) is also less than 10 minutes away. This hotel is optimal for those who wish to visit the city and all its attractions as even the latin quarter on the other side of the city centre can be reached in 45min by only changing metro lines once. Moreover, both south and east of the hotel, streets with a wide range of different restaurants can be found within a 15min walk.

Staff was extremely helpful and nice, particularly Mr. Abdel Ghani and Ms. Ania. The evening staff were equally welcoming. The hotel is excellently located on a quiet street, yet 1-2 minutes walk from busier streets, full of restaurants, cafés, bistros, bakeries, etc. Public transportation is abundant, which can take you just about anywhere in Paris if you prefer not to walk the beautiful streets and avenues... Montmartre is a quite pleasant 20-30 minute walk away, while you can get to the Place Pigale and Moulin Rouge in just 15-20 minutes on feet. Breakfast at Le Mireille is generous, diversified and quite enjoyable.

An incredibly warm welcome. Perfectly helpful and efficient. The breakfast was a whole lot more than I expected for 11€. Great spread. (The pic only shows part of it). Signs were in English and I heard another guest asking about a cab in English and the receptionist responded in English. This is a classic European hotel so small spaces but clean and efficient. A short 5 minute walk to the Guy Moquet metro stop. The neighborhood isn't posh but it's safe. I have a friend who's lived around the corner for years. No safety issues.

It was my second time at this hotel and I would book it again. Staff was very helpful and friendly, with fluent English. My room faced the courtyard, so it was quiet enough. The room in which I stayed in this time was also spacious (compared the local standard). The neighborhood is just amazing. I used to live in Paris and Batignolles is my favorite place to stay.
